Michelle Philgreen has taught dance for over 35 years, impacting thousands of students over the years. Her dance education includes study at The University of Iowa, Gus Giordano's in Chicago and Broadway Dance Center in New York City. Michelle has had a career in performance including 2 theme parks, a cruise ship, and toured with the late Tennessee Ernie Ford, singing back up and opening shows.
Michelle is choreographer, director, and costumer for Jim McDonough Productions, was choreographer and co-director for Follies and Follidays productions, and has choreographed for Theatre Cedar Rapids productions as well as former Celebration Iowa. In addition, she created a performance camp for young girls and boys with over 100 attendees each year, many of whom have gone on to careers in performance. Michelle has worked with thousands of students choreographing show choirs, musicals, and show choir camps both in Iowa and Nebraska, and is a frequent judge for show choir competitions across the country.
Michelle is dedicated to training well rounded dancers, many who have gone on to dance professionally or own their own dance studios. She enjoys sharing her passion for dance with the students and always brings a fun, positive, energetic outlook to her classes!
Michelle is married to Duane, a high school vocal music teacher at West Delaware Schools in Manchester, and they have 4 daughters, Cami, Calee, Caryssa, and Caria.
